Move Together – Dance Connects: Under this motto, students from the Albrecht-Dürer-Gymnasium in Neukölln are taking over the dance floor. Together with choreographers Thomas Kunfira and Meier Eden, they are launching a creative experiment and discovering movement as their very own universal language.
At the heart of the project is the idea that hip-hop, breakdance, and acrobatics do not require rigid rules – instead, they call for openness, creativity, and the courage to express oneself. Everyone brings their own abilities and perspectives into the artistic process.
A special focus is placed on inclusion: different physical abilities, cultural backgrounds, and personal stories are seen as enriching elements. Through guided improvisation and group exercises, a safe space is created in which all participants are seen and heard. This helps break down barriers and strengthens a sense of belonging.
The project is based on collaborative work. The young participants develop ideas together, explore movements, and refine them further. The focus is not on perfection, but on connection, expression, and mutual support. In this way, dance strengthens self-confidence and fosters empathy.
On 18 September, everyone is warmly invited to the final presentation. The audience will see not only a choreography, but above all the diversity and vibrancy of this shared process.
