UFERSTUDIOS BERLIN

17.09. – 21.09.2025

Services and accessibility

In this fifth edition of the Kuyum Dance Platform, we are working intensively to improve accessibility. To do this, we rely on your feedback. Please feel free to contact us at inclusion@kuyumarts.de. We look forward to your questions and suggestions!

All information here refers to the events of the Kuyum Dance Platform from September 17-21 at the Uferstudios. Information on accessibility for Kuyum Youth Day at the Theaterhaus Mitte on September 14, 2025 can be found here.

Three performances at this year’s Kuyum Dance Platform will once again be accompanied by German audio description: wireless headphones will be used to describe what is happening on stage during the performance. The performances are as follows:

Wed, Sept. 17, at 8:30 p.m.: “The Way We…” by Julienne Doko
Thu, Sept. 18, at 8:30 p.m.: “L-Movement” by Yahi Nestor Gahe
Sun, Sept. 21, at 8:30 p.m.: “Yin-Yang” by Tadhi Alawi & Samwel Japhet

Audio description enables blind and visually impaired people to access the visual elements of a play: movements, gestures, facial expressions, stage design, costumes, and props are described. Seats for performances with audio description are limited.

For further information and to register, please contact: info@kuyumarts.de / 0157-383 96 496

If necessary, we offer a pick-up service on foot for blind and visually impaired people from the Osloer Straße subway station. The station has a guidance system for the blind.

Please register your pick-up request in advance at 0157-383 96 496. Thank you

The audio description is provided in German, by the authors Imke Baumann and colleagues.
