Michael Gagawala Kaddu is a Ugandan dance artist based in Berlin since 2019. Guided by curiosity and creative playfulness, he uses dance to explore issues that affect people in the community socially, politically and economically. Based on traditional Ugandan and urban African dances, he deconstructs movements to create his own movement vocabulary. Collaborations with the Christoph Winkler Company, Kareth Schaffer, the performing:group/ Theater Strahl and Mirjam Gurtner, among others.
