Kossi Sebastien Aholou-Wokawui, who grew up in Togo, studied traditional and contemporary African dance as well as modern and jazz dance. Further training with Stephanie Thiersch and at the École des Sables, Senegal, among others; also workshop leader at the Théâtre National d’Haïti. He has been working continuously with steptext dance project since 2012 and has danced in numerous productions by Helge Letonja. In 2018, he choreographed the dance duet ‘Dans la peau de l’autre’ with Tomas Bünger, which was performed internationally. In numerous collaborations, he has led workshops in contemporary Afro and designed transcultural youth dance theatre projects.
Since 2019 collaboration with the ensemble „OCN“ (Of Curious Nature) and since 2022 development of his Agama Dance Company. He is the first board member and artistic director of the Centre for Dance and Bodywork e.V.
