Sarah Naa Ayeley Hykkelbjerg, also known as Naa or Naa Ayeley, was born in Ghana in 1979 and is a dancer and choreographer. She joined the Brotherhood Cultural Troupe of Ghana as a teenager in 1990 and studied dance at the Jant-Bi Ecole de Sables under Germaine Acogny, as well as at the Noyam Dance Institute. After completing her training, she worked as a teaching assistant under Nii Yartey’s artistic direction. In 2005 she presented her first creation „Inner joy“ at the Fontys Dance Festival in the Netherlands and co-choreographed „Choauc Puu“ with Moukam Fonkam in Cameroon. 2006 choreographic collaboration with Sarakasi Trust in Kenya; 2013 she choreographed „Independances Women“ in Ghana. Numerous international collaborations; since 2013 she lives in Denmark and works as a dancer, choreographer and teaches contemporary and traditional African dance.
