Naomi Sanfo-Ansorge (she/her) is a visually impaired dancer, dance educator, and dramaturg specialising in artistic audio description for dance and music theatre. From 2022 to 2024, she performed with the dance company Chorosom. In addition, she advises dance and theatre productions as well as festivals on access dramaturgy for blind and visually impaired audiences and facilitates inclusive dance theatre workshops for children and young people.
In her artistic practice, Naomi develops audio descriptions collaboratively and explores the spectrum of “Aesthetics of Access,” which she understands as a source of inspiration and a catalyst for artistic processes.
Spoken Dance is a network-project of blind, visually impaired, and sighted artists who are exploring artistic audio description and aesthetic accessibility in dance.
