Kyrie Oda is a Japanese-born dancer and choreographer. She began her career in New York City with Michael Mao Dance and the H.T. Chen Dance Company before returning to Japan, where she worked as a freelancer and developed her own works.
She has lived in Europe since 2012. Dancer at AURA Dance Theatre in Lithuania and member of the company of Regionteater Väst in Sweden, also worked with Tino Sehgal, Bayerische Staatsoper, Kitt Johnson/X-Act (DK), Fernando Melo, among others.
Since 2017 co-director of PA× in Gothenburg, Sweden. Her work is characterised by its profound physicality and emotional depth and aims to create life-changing experiences through the universal language of dance. With her commitment to intercultural dialogue and collaboration, she pushes the boundaries of contemporary dance.
