Lia Estelle Widmaier is a choreographer and performer who draws on her extensive training in various dance styles, which has taken her from classical training to urban and freestyle genres since moving from Haiti to Berlin in 2013. Since 2024, she has dedicated herself to creating movements inspired by traditional Haitian folk dance. In collaboration with Haitian choreographer and performer Johnshades, who combines acrobatics with modern dance practices, they merge their traditional heritage with contemporary dance to create artistic visions.
